Miniflow nasal CPAP System
Miniflow is a patient interface for the CPAP mode of ventilators.Therefore Miniflow can be connected to the inspiration and exspiration tubes and thus to the ventilator. The ventilator adjusts and controls the CPAP parameter and provides the needed gas flow.Connect Miniflow to the inspiration and the exspiration tube, if your ventilator needs an external pressure measurement, add the T-piece into this connection (REF 4010).
Close the prong adaptor of the Miniflow with your finger and adjust the nCPAP parameters at the ventilator, if this is not possible check the connections if one is leaky.
Choose one prong or mask fitting to patient`s nose, connect the selected prong to Miniflow, the loops must point to the opposite direction of the tubes.
- Always use the largest prong to avoid leackage
- Change between prong and mask after some hours
- Insert the prong only halfway into the nose
IMPORTANT: Single use product for a single patient only!
Choose the right bonnet, the measurement strip (REF 2150) shows you the necessary size.Open the hook and loop fastener, slide the strips through the two holes in prong and mask Choose the right angle on Miniflow, insert the prong or mask with the adjusted Miniflow into the babies nostril, fix the strips with the small hooks to the bonnet below the ears and never over the eyes.
Take care that the strips are not tightened too much. Position Miniflow`s tubes across the butterfly and close the butterfly, afterwards check the position of the bonnet and strips again.
