Medijet - active nCPAP Generator with Connectionset
nCPAP stands for: nasal Continuous Positive Airway pressureThe function of this generator is to support spontaneous breathing of neonatal infants by applying an adjustable and constant positiv pressure.
Continuous positive airway pressure assists in the opening up of the immature lungs and helps to improved gas exchange. It also helps to prevent the dangerous collapse of the alveolae and improves the overall function of the lung.
The CPAP Cylinder is a Volume Reservoir, where the Patient is directly connected to and which also connects the patient to the surrounding atmosphere.
Arguments for the Medijet® nCPAP Generator
- From the first minute of life very effective nCPAP
- Increase of FRC improvement of compliance
- Reduction of RDS
- Reduction of work of breathing
- Less barotraumas to the lungs
- Pushing function in model REF 1010/1020
- Drug Inhalation port in model REF 1000
- No aggressive air stream - soft flow
- volume reservoir where the jet is indirectly running at 90° away from the baby variable flow
- low noise level
- single use prongs and mask in different sizes
- Very good fixation with bonnets in different sizes

What type of babies are situable for nCPAP?
NEWBORN INFANTS:
Breathing spontaneously, but:
- showing signs of respiratory distress
- need for oxygen
- intermittend apnea attacks
ELDER INFANTS:
- BABIES in bad condition and who require respiratory support
- general infection
- corbon dioxyde retention
- mild pneumonia
- BABIES needing to be extubated
- BABIES with chronic lung disease
- BABIES who still need some respiratory support
